More About Us
Welcome to the Dynasty!
We are FIRST Robotics team #8045, formed in 2019 and based in Castro Valley, California.
We have been student-led from the very beginning. We created this team to fight for opportunities we did not previously have, with the hopes of making it that much easier for our future teams. With this in mind, we concluded that the best way to learn is to throw ourselves into the process, fail, and try again. Though difficult at times, we are determined to stick to this ethos because it makes it that much more worth it in the end.
Our team is currently a four year veteran team though was very much impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. We have taken the current situation as a challenge to improve ourselves and have been using our time to become stronger, and we are hopeful for our future.
In the future, we hope to spread our influence to younger students by forming lower division robotics teams at our local middle and elementary schools. These hit personally to many on our team, considering that most of us did not have the chance to be a part of these growing up, and it means a lot to us to be able to help our community.

Meet the Mascot!Wallace, the mascot and namesake of Team 8045. He was born when the team started, but legends say that he is the son of Wall-E and Eve. However, these have never been confirmed, nor have they been denied.
At one point, Wallace had wanted to become a baker while team members were at work with the competition robot. Wallace isn't able to communicate through speech, but instead uses images and colors to express himself. Due to an early bug, he created ten copies of himself while expressing himself. All are loved and have stuck around. (Some are shown below) |

Designed in May of 2024 this flag as of 2024 serves to represent the Wallace Dynasty. At the center a stylized Wallace in the form of a gear with a sun rising above him in the background with the words "Wallace Dynasty 8045" written below. The each color of the flag has its own meaning, Purple representing royalty, White peace and teamwork, Yellow hope and determination. The sunrise also references the Team's connection to the west coast.
